IZU SOCIAL SCIENCES GRADUATE STUDENTS CONGRESS

Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, Institute of Social Sciences organizes the Social Sciences Graduate Students Congress to be held online on 29-30 May 2021. The Congress will be based on the presentations from master and doctoral theses prepared in the field of social sciences. Those students doing either their master or PhD in any subject of social sciences from all universities can attend the congress with all kinds of studies (graduation project, master's thesis, PhD dissertation, scientific research, etc.).

Participants who want to attend the congress are required to submit their abstracts of 200-300 words until the specified date and the full texts of their papers if they receive acceptance. The congress is open to all areas of social sciences and the submitted papers will be approved or disapproved after the peer referee process is completed.

The congress will be held in three languages: Turkish, English and Arabic. Participants can submit the full text of their abstracts and proceedings in which language they will present.

Accepted abstracts that are presentation in the congress will be published on the congress website as an e-book.

Participants who want their presentations to be published in the refereed journals can send their full papers to be published as a special issue in refereed journals published by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University after the Congress. Full papers will be evaluated and can be published after the referee process of the journals.

The presentations will be made online within 15-20 minutes.

There will be no fees for participation in the congress.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND DATES

Abstracts The submission deadline for the abstracts consisting of 200-300 words will be 30 April 2021.
Participants can also write the names of thesis advisors if they wish in the abstracts.
Abstracts can be presented in one of Turkish, English and Arabic languages.
One participant can attend the congress with a maximum of two presentations.
Publication of the abstracts full text Abstracts and full texts will be published as soft copies on the congress web page as a book with an ISBN.
In addition, special issues will be published in refereed journals published by IZU and the works of participants who want to publish their studies will be included in these journals.
Participants can also write the names of their thesis supervisors in the abstracts. However, at most two abstract papers of each author can be published in the congress. At this point, students should consult with their thesis advisor.
Acceptance / Rejection Notifications  Acceptance/rejection decisions regarding the abstracts submitted to the congress will be announced on 10 May and the acceptance letters will be sent to the participants.
Congress full texts Participants who want their presentations to be published in the refereed journals can send their full papers to be published as a special issue in refereed journals published by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University after the Congress. The deadline for full-text submission is 05 june 2021. Full papers will be evaluated and can be published after the referee process of the journals. Those who want to present the full text of their presentation should consider this.

Abstract Writing Rules

• Times New Roman font should be used for preparing the abstract.

• Abstract title is written in all capital letters and 14 pt. Bold and centered.

• Abstract body should be between 200-300 words. It is written using 12 pt Times New Roman font, justified, single-spaced and with 6 nk space before and after.

• Keywords are written 1 line below the abstract in 12 pt, with the initial letter of each word capitalized. A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 keywords can be included.

• In the abstract, the name and surname of the author (s), title (graduate student, doctoral student, doctor lecturer, etc.), university and e-mail address should be centered, 12 pt., Author's name and title should be bold. and written one line below.

• If the paper is produced from a thesis, the information of the related thesis is given as sub-information.

• There should be no reference and no bibliography in the abstracts.

• These rules are valid for abstract writing. Authors who want to submit a full text should use the guidelines of the IZU journal to which the work will be submitted.
