The Selection Process


IZU academic staff who have successfully completed the application will be graded according to the selection criteria in the following IZU Erasmus+ Program Directive.

The academic staff certifying the result of the examination such as YÖKDİL, YDS, TOEFL, IELTS or equivalence examination accepted by OSYM will be awarded with the points as indicated in the table on the side.

Or, for the academic staff who graduated from their PhD abroad will receive their foreign language points of +8 points, as if they would for a Foreign Language Exam score between 81-90.

If there is an equality in the sort, the following priorities are applied in order until the equality breaks down.

Priority 1

Staff who have certified Foreign Language Adequacy.

Priority 2

Service period in Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (in years).



Evaluation and Selection

After being evaluated in the University Erasmus+ Commission, applicants will be listed as selected and spare according to the quotas stated in the application announcement. 

The list of nominees selected and spare is published in the announcements section of the university website and on the boards inside university including the scoring made during the evaluation.

Participants who decide resigning from participation if elected to the mobility should inform the Office of the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator with a resignation form.

In case of resignation, the order is transferred to the spare candidates listed.
