Mobility for Teaching

Staff mobility for Teaching is an area of activity for the academic staff of an ECHE holder higher institution in Turkey that enables academical/educational activities to be carried out jointly with the counterpart institution in order to provide lectures to students in an ECHE owned higher education institution in one of the program countries.

Seminar and conference participation cannot be supported within the scope of the activity.

All the full-time academic staff working at our university can benefit from the staff mobility for teaching.

There must be an inter-institutional agreement between the university and the receiving higher education instiution in order to benefit from the staff mobility for teaching.

  

Erasmus+ Program Countries

United Kingdom, Denmark, The Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Iceland, Italy, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania, Turkey *, Greece, Germany , Spain, Latvia, Macedonia, Malta, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Lithuania, Slovenia.

The amount of grants awarded according to the countries to be visited is indicated in the published application announcements.

*Turkey is a country involved in the Erasmus+ Program. However, participants cannot attend to the teaching mobility in Turkey.


Eligible Institutions

The institution / organization to be visited must have one of the following options:

1- The receiving institution must have an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE, Erasmus Charter)

2- There must be an inter-institutional agreement between Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University and the receiving institution.

The higher education institution must be located in the Program Country


Staff Mobility for Teaching Objectives

  • To allow students who can not participate in the mobility program to benefit from the knowledge and experience of the academic staff of higher education institutions from different European countries,

  • To promote the exchange of experience and expertise in pedagogical methods,

  • To support the expansion and enrichment of the types and contents of the courses offered by higher education institutions.


The Obligation of Teaching Hours

Staff Mobility for Teaching is a day-based activity and grants are paid for the lecture given days.  Academic staff selected for the mobility should give lectures at least 8 hours of 5 mobility days at the host institution.

 

Minimum and Maximum Durations

The period for the staff mobility for teaching must be minimum of 2 days consecutive business days excluding travel and maximum of 2 months.

According to the Erasmus+ Program Application Regulation of our University, the duration of activity in staff mobility for teaching is limited to at least 2 days and maximum 5 days.

In the case of staff mobility for teaching, the activity is deemed to be invalid and the beneficiary is not paid any grants when the beneficiary shows that the beneficiary has been operating for less than 2 days.

Staff who are found to perform activities less than 2 days in the participation certificate have to return all grants they have received.
