Erasmus+ Mobility for Teaching with Program Countries

The Erasmus + Mobility for Teaching enables the teaching staff to teach at least 2 days to a maximum of 2 months in another participating country. Full-time academics working in Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University can apply for an Erasmus + Mobility for Teaching to a partner university in any European Union member country where we have an agreement.

How to Apply?

Academics who wish to apply must complete the online application form at https://applyerasmus.izu.edu.tr/.

Application Documents

  • Complete the Online Application Form.
  • The photo must be attached to the application form.
  • If there is a Certificate of Language (TOEFL-IBT, TOEFL-CBT, TOEFL-PBT, YDS, YÖKDİL and IELTS exams are accepted as equivalent by the University) YDS and YÖKDİL Language Examination documents will be evaluated by taking 5 years of validity into consideration. The validity period of other language proficiency certificates is 2 years.)
  • Disabled staff must upload their document into the system.
  • Martyrs or veterans must upload their documents into the system.
  • Staff who is relative of martyrs or veteran must upload their documents into the system.
  • If the higher education is completed in a foreign language, it must be documented.

Minimum Requirements

In order to participate in the activity, staff must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Personnel who are obliged to teach.
  • There should be an Inter-Institutional Agreement with the Host institution

The academic staff certifying the result of the examination such as YÖKDİL, YDS, TOEFL, IELTS or equivalence examination accepted by OSYM will be awarded with the points as indicated in the table on the side.

Or in the absence of a valid Foreign Language Certificate, the Foreign Language Score will be accepted in the 81-90 band and +8 points will be added to the score point for PhD Degrees taken from a foreign country.

Online Applications received are evaluated and sorted according to the criteria’s above. The applicants with the highest score are selected as selected with grant, spare and without grant.

Erasmus+ With Grant

The amount of daily grant to be given to the employees who will benefit from the mobility for teaching is determined by the National Agency by taking into consideration the living standards of the countries:

80% of the Erasmus grant is deposited in the Euro account stated by the beneficiary in the contract signed with the personnel who will benefit from the mobility after the return the remaining 20% is completed. 

The 2018-2019 academic year mobility grant is for the activities held between 19 September 2018 and 31 May 2019.

Calculation of the grant deserved for the staff of the higher education institution benefiting from the Mobility for Teaching is done by the staff of the higher education institution within the framework of the grant calculation rules determined by the Center (National Agency).

According to the rules determined by the Center, the personnel who benefit from the mobility for Teaching are paid according to the daily / weekly allowance and travel distance. Travel payment is a contribution to travel and the grant for subsistence expenses for the period spent abroad. The travel expense payment is a contribution to the travel costs of the participants from where they reside to their place of activity and return. Travel distance is calculated using the distance calculator provided by the European Commission. Only one time added to the participant's grant.

The grant given to staff benefiting from the Staff Mobility for Teaching is not intended to cover all expenses related to the period abroad.

Erasmus+ Without grant option

Personnel may use this right at the time of application by using the Without Grant preference in the online form or by notifying the Erasmus Institution Coordinator after the results have been announced.
