The Geopolitics of the Kashmir Dispute and Its Future Prospects

The Center for Islam and Global Affairs (CIGA) is hosting a seminar to discuss the Kashmir dispute which will be addressed by renowned United States based Kashmir lobbyist Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai.

Who is Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai? 

Dr. Fai holds a PhD in Mass Communications from Temple University, Pennsylvania, and a Master’s Degree from the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in India. Active since his student days, Dr. Fai has attended numerous international conferences from representing the International Federation of Student Organizations to addressing the United Nations Conference in New York on Technical Cooperation Among Developing Countries.

Dr. Fai is currently Secretary General of United States based “World Kashmir Awareness Forum” and founding chairman of the London‑based ‘Justice Foundation’, ‘International Institute of Kashmir Studies', and ‘Kashmir Press International'. He is also member of the Board of Directors of Istanbul-based “The Union of NGOs of the Islamic World” (UNIW).

A pro-active lobbyist on Kashmir, Dr Fai has travelled across 40 countries for Kashmir cause and raising awareness among influential people about the ongoing popular right to self-determination movement in Kashmir.
Known for his efforts on conflict resolution, Dr Fai is routinely invited as an expert to various international forums including United Nations, European Parliament to talk about Kashmir dispute.

So far, Dr Fai is credited to have organized eight International Kashmir Peace Conferences at the Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C. and two International Kashmir Peace Conferences in New York City.

Dr Fai is the “Distinguished Member” of the Republican Senatorial Inner Circle.  He was awarded “Republican Senatorial Medal of Freedom” in 2005.

Dr Fai was selected as a member to New York-based Strathmore's WHO'S WHO list in January 1995 for his public relations, education and communication expertise.  He was included in the constellation of Five Hundred Leaders of Influence, a listing that is reserved for Outstanding Leadership for the Public Relations; and the Excellence in Global Relations.

He was also included in the International Who’s Who of Intellectuals, in recognition of his distinguished achievements.  He is also the member of National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals.
